Planning a Family Trip to Park City: Why Pinebrook Works

Our Place in Park City • November 3, 2026

Room for everyone, close to everything.

A family trip to Park City is a lot of fun, but finding a place that works for everyone can be tricky. Hotel rooms get cramped fast, and condos in the middle of town can be loud and pricey. Pinebrook, a quiet neighborhood just outside Park City, is a great middle ground. Here is why families and groups like staying there, and what to look for in a rental.

1. Space to spread out

Our townhouse has 3 bedrooms and 6 beds and sleeps up to 9. The parents get real bedrooms with king beds, and the kids get a bunk room of their own, with a twin-over-full and a twin-over-twin bunk bed and their own TV.

Downstairs, a separate family room with a big sectional gives the kids somewhere to unwind while the adults stay upstairs by the fireplace in the great room. Two floors of living space make a big difference on a week-long trip.

2. Meals together, without eating out every night

Eating out three times a day adds up quickly for a family in a resort town. With a full kitchen and a dining table for eight, you can cook breakfast before ski school, pack lunches and save restaurants for the nights that matter. Grocery stores at Kimball Junction are just a few minutes away.

3. Close to the slopes, away from the crowds

Pinebrook is quieter than staying in town, yet Canyons Village is about 10 minutes away and downtown Park City is about 15. Park City Mountain and Deer Valley are both close, and the airport is about 30 minutes, which matters when you are traveling with tired kids. A heated garage and boot dryer make ski mornings easier for everyone.

4. Things to keep the kids happy

After a long day outside, there is an Xbox for the kids, a TV in every bedroom and plenty of room to play. In summer, there are trails nearby for easy family hikes and bike rides. Children of all ages are welcome. For ideas, see our Park City things to do guide, including a section on Park City with kids.
